Monday Musts #1

I decide since I am going to Minneapolis on Wednesday it would be a good day to start a series showcasing all of the products I am currently lusting over called “Monday Musts”. With my upcoming trip to Minneapolis quickly approaching I have been doing some serious online window shopping to help prepare myself for the madness that is the Mall Of America. Since I have been to the Mall probably as many times as someone who lives right next to it, I still felt I needed to do a little prep work so I have a good idea of what types of things I am looking for instead of feeling slightly (okay, maybe a lot) overwhelmed when I am there.
Over the past few weeks while looking through different websites and well as taking some inspiration from other blogs I have three products that I am really dying to get my hands on!

The purse I am currently using is more suited for the winter months so while looking online I found the Rebecca Minkoff Mini M.A.C which I think would be the perfect purse for summer. Over the years, I have heard a number of beauty bloggers and You Tubers talk about Rebecca Minkoff handbags. They have only ever had good things to say about her products, so when I came across the Mini M.A.C. in the colour Tortora I was sold. It is the perfect mix between a muted lavender and grey. This bag would be the perfect piece for summer and would also make a great transition piece into fall!

Recently while watch a Essie button vlog, Estée mentioned “Jamie” Jeans from Top Shop and how much she loves them. Any time anyone mentions something that they love I need to go check it out for myself. After doing some research I realized why so many ladies love these jeans! The one thing that really stood out to me while looking into them was that they aren’t as thin as jeggings but still offer the comfort of a jegging. Anything that is similar to a jegging but offer more support is right up my alley. Plus they are a bit of a high rise and who doesn’t like a pair of jeans who help to suck everything in!
#3- Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Push-UpLiner    $29.00

I am always looking for the next best thing when it comes to eye liners. I want something that looks matte when it dries, won’t smudge, is easy to apply, and is very opaque. No one wants to have to go over their liner more than once. We don’t got time for that! So when I heard Benefit was coming out with the first gel eyeliner in a retractable tube, I was instantly interested. With its revolutionary silicone tip to help push your eye lashes out of the way for extra precision and easy application and its smudge proof, water proof, rub proof formula that is supposed to last all day, it is EXACTLY what I’m looking for when it comes to liner. Can't wait to get my hands on this next time i am at Sephora!
Tell me what products you are lusting over at the moment?!
Till next time,
Lxo.

Blogilates

When the beginning of January rolled around I thought that it would be a good idea to get back into the routine of work out. Around January 2013 I started going to gym 5-6 times a weeks for about 4 months. I wanted to get into shape for my trip to Mexico in May. I started going only to get into shape for the trip, but slowly realized that I no longer wanted to just get in shape for the trip but for myself. I had more energy, felt a lot stronger and was in the best shape I had ever been in.

After getting back from Mexico, I moved to Lampman from Saskatoon, which is when I fell off of the workout wagon. With no gym in town to go to my only option was driving into Estevan or working out at home and neither of these options seemed like a good idea to me at the time.
Flash forward to January 2014, I missed how I felt after I worked out and the results I had seen. Still not wanting to go into Estevan to the gym I decided that I would see if I could find something online that would work instead. As I have mentioned before I am a self-proclaimed YouTube addict and one afternoon while watching the ShayTards they had mentioned a girl from LA named Cassey, who does workout videos on her YouTube channel called Blogilates.
After watching a few of her videos I was hooked. She does Mat Pilates but adds fun new music with interesting moves that keeps you entertained and wanting to push yourself harder. She has such a warm positive personality that makes working out so much more enjoyable and she has a TON of videos. She also has an APP, which you can purchase through I Tunes, which has scheduled videos for every day, healthy meal options, as well as a Blogilaties community page where you can interact with other people in the Blogilates community.
Fast forward to now, I have been doing Blogilates videos for about 6 months and I could not be happier with the results I have seen. Overall my body is a lot more toned and I have so much more muscle definition than when I had started. If you are like me and are not wanting to go to the gym I think that this would be a great option for you to try out. It’s only an hour a day and if you stick with it I’m sure you will see similar results to what I have seen!
Let me know if any of you have tried Blogilates before and what your experience with it has been?!

Sephora Haul

This past weekend I was in Regina with my mom and stop in at Sephora to pick up a few new things. I ended up getting 4 new products and used 100 point to get a deluxe sample of the St. Tropez Self Tan Face Lotion.

The 4 products I pick up are:

Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30- Alaska
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner- Midnight
Sephora Blush and Bronzer Palette
Hourglass Ambient Light Blush- Diffused Heat

So far I have used the Nars Tinted Moisturizer, Stila Eye Liner and the Hourglass Blush. All of these products seem to live up to what I previous had expected before purchasing them.

Out of all the products I bought I would have to say my favorite is the Stila Waterproof Eye Liner in Midnight. It is such a beautiful deep blue shade. Even though the colour is so close to black you can really see the difference the deep blue does to a look.

I will keep you updated on what I think of the other products as I get to us them a bit more.

Until next time,

Urban Decay Electric Palette

I recently purchased the Urban DecayElectric Palette. Let me start off by saying I love Urban Decay. All of the products I have tried from their line have not let me down. Some of my favorite products from Urban Decay are the Naked Palettes, Revolutionary Lipsticks, 24/7 eye liners, as well as their setting spray.  So when I seen they were releasing a palette with only bright colours I couldn’t resist myself and bought it.

So far I haven’t really had the chance to really put the palette to the test, but I have experiment with a few of the colours. From what I have used so far all of the colours seem to be extremely blendable, this is quite surprising since they are so pigmented. The one thing I really like about this palette is that you could use one or two of the colours with a more neutral palette for a more wearable everyday look or use the palette on its own to create a really dramatic evening look.
I cannot wait till I get the chance to play around with it a little more to really get a feel for all of the colours. But overall, this palette did not disappoint! If you are looking to experiment with bright colours or just looking for a little pop of colour to add to your everyday neutral look I think this would be a great buy for you!
Till next time,
