Birthday Weekend

For Steven’s Birthday we decide it would be a good idea to celebrate the occasion with a weekend trip to Regina. With Steven working every other weekend it is always nice to get away, especially when we wanted to celebrate his birthday together. We headed up to the city on Saturday morning and are day was filled with shopping, coffees, and ceaser’s (These may just happen to be our new favorite drink). J

We made our way around the city, stopping for lunch at Earl’s. I had the soup and salad, while Steven had a Bacon Burger and salad. Both were delicious. Being able to go out for a nice meal is one of the good things about getting away for the weekend, since around Estevan there really aren’t too many options with a decent lounge atmosphere.
 
For the rest of the afternoon we relaxed in the hotel room before getting ready to go out for supper at The Keg. This seems to be one of our favorite spots to go when we are out for the weekend. We love the relaxed atmosphere and know the food will be good. One of our favorite appetizers is the Mushroom Neptune. All the oozy cheesy goodness stuffed into a baked mushroom is something you cannot pass up. For the rest of the night we enjoyed some drinks and dancing at O’Hanlons Irish Pub.

Overall it was a great weekend and I was happy to be able to spend some quality time with just Steven and myself. It is always nice to get away from your everyday life for a nice weekend getaway, even if it is only to Regina.

Happy Birthday Steven

Trying to figure out what to write for my first post seemed to be a lot hard than I had first thought it would be. So today I thought it would be appropriate to start everything off with a big warm Happy Birthday to my boyfriend, Steven. Because of his support and encouragement I decided to start this blog so I could share my love for anything beauty and lifestyle related.

I am a self-proclaimed beauty YouTube addict and throughout countless hours of beauty videos and midnight Sephora splurges he has encouraged me to share what I love with everyone else. I’m sure not many guys out there could listen to their girlfriend talk for hours about the new palettes she had just bought or if her lipstick color looks good with the eye shadow she is wearing. He is patient and listens because he knows it is something I really have an interest in. He is always encouraging me to push myself further in every aspect of life and I know no matter what I decide to do he will always be there to support my decisions.  

 

So today, on your birthday, I want to thank you for being the extra voice in the back of my head telling me that no matter what you are there to support me.
